Chrysalis: Personal Tragedy (she grew up on the Tuscaroa Reservation in upstate New York north of Niagara Falls, family skimping and barely getting by; her best friend, Sasa, was a Cherokee orphan left at the reservation; in their teens, they dropped out of school and traveled to Oklahoma to seek out Sasa’s parents, and they became involved in a state initiative to teach indigenous culture as guest speakers at elementary schools, but overzealous Christian bigots not only ran them out of the towns where they tried to work but attacked them by trying to stone them to death; the madness and danger of it drove both she and Sasa into Chrysalis and the flare of Medicine magic drove the zealots back), 2010

Transition: Shift in Nature (Queen Serena appeared before them both thunderously in her majestic power and also deferentially in a reverential bow—the Sidhe invited both Nunnehi to join her Ensemble, because through that large collective they could broker new deals that would be honored with Serena’s support; the only question then was if they could trust Serena; Salali implored her ancestors guidance, and they returned an affirmation to the idea, so she agreed and joined Serena in California, restarting some of her educational outreach while networking the Kithain nobles)
