Transition: Defeat (misery overcame the Hou-Chi as she watched tree after tree be mowed down in order to grow more tobacco, and nothing and no one could or would help her; Queen Serena appeared from the other side of the world and offered her a new home, a new forest in desperate need of protection, far in the New World; noting her social anxiety among large groups [as the Ensemble was shaping up to be], the Sidhe reassured the kamuii that nothing more than what she could offer would be asked in exchange for protection and guidance in America, so the depressed Shinma agreed)

Magnitude: Usha has a solid memory of her past lives, leading back some 500 years.
Details: Though her Remembrance is impressive, her lives were relatively circumscribed. She had always spent most of them as a hermit in the forest, defending nature, winning mortals back over to a life of harmony with nature. She knew she had not always been successful, but she recalled she was rarely selfish—more than once, her magical life ended early after sacrificing herself either for her protectorate or the humans who interacted with it.

Usha has an outpouring of care and love for the woods, for nature, for life in general. It pains her deeply to encounter people who, for whatever reasons, do not share that reverence. Since so many people are nihilistic to some extent in today's banal world, she finds most people simply off-putting and giving off too toxic of vibes to want to be around.
